We even made learning math facts fun with our free, talking math flashcards. Learn those addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division tables without going bananas!
Why are our flashcards different from other flashcards? Because we use a multi-sensory technique to help students remember the information they are trying to learn. A student using traditional flashcards will normally learn by studying the information with his or her eyes. With our flashcards, a student not only sees the information, but also hears it, repeats it, writes the answer, and checks the answer. If you can get a student to use all of his or her modalities during the learning process, you increase a student's learning efficiency. Using your visual (seeing), auditory (hearing), tactile (touching), and kinesthetic (movement) modalities at the same time increases the chance that your child will remember the information he or she is trying to learn. Make sure your child says the information along with the "teacher" on each page. You may even wish for your child to close his or her eyes, and pretend to write the question and answer in the air before choosing another random question. This will add a kinesthetic requirement to the activity.
Notice that the auditory information is presented slowly by the "teacher" on each page. Each syllable is enunciated, with deliberate emphasis. Again, this is to focus the student on each and every syllable of the information he or she is trying to learn. When the student says this information along with the "teacher", each syllable he or she says is paced, again drawing attention to the information.
